- The RRMFC is looking forward to another successful season buying furs & hides from Métis citizens. If you are attending the AGA October 13 – 15, please make sure you stop by our booth for general updates and market analysis for fur prices in the upcoming season.
- The artisan program is ready to launch, Artisans who are interested in participating in the new program will be able to get tanned furs / leather at the RRMFC AGA booth. A registration form will be required to be filled out.
- Don’t forget about the trap replacement program. Any traps that are damaged or illegal to use based on the Federal government AIHTS agreement (Environment of Canada) can be replaced. Please note, a maximum dollar amount has been established and you should reach out to Jason White directly for mor information on this program.
- Jason White (RRMFC) and Shaun Hampton (LRCC) will be sending out a notice regarding in-person trips to regional offices. The trip will have information regarding market updates on fur if you are not able to attend the AGA along with a presentation from LRCC. Trappers may want to get a loan for new traps, skidoo, 4 wheelers, etc., this support can be beneficial for trappers looking to enhance their trapping operations. Please stay tuned for confirmed dates and times in your region.
