After the raw furs have been purchased from Red River Métis trappers, they are re-graded for quality at a warehouse in Winnipeg, then sent to a fur dressing company to get tanned. Tanned furs and leathers will be provided to the artisans, free of charge, to help promote Red River Métis traditions and cultural heritage. The pieces produced by the artisans will be bought back with profit and marketed through The Manitoba Métis Federation as “Traditional Métis made.”

The Red River Métis Marketplace is a proud affiliate of the Manitoba Métis Federation, The National Government of the Red River Métis.
